Elegant Flower Boxes for Every Occasion
Flower boxes started outselling wrapped bouquets for us a couple years back. Honestly wasn't expecting it. But the appeal makes sense once you see one delivered. It shows up finished. No vase hunt, no water on the car seat, no awkward moment where the recipient is holding a wet bundle of stems trying to figure out where to put them.
We build all of our flower boxes in Concord. Florist-grade foam inside, which is the boring part nobody thinks about but is basically why box arrangements work. Round hat boxes for most of the collection. Woven baskets for the oversized pieces since a hat box can't physically hold 300 roses without collapsing.
Some floral boxes we do are tight and formal. Low domes of red roses, single ribbon, nothing extra. Others are wilder. Hydrangea and ranunculus spilling loose over the rim like they almost didn't fit. Both work. Depends who it's for.
Want something wrapped instead? Our full range of flower bouquets is the place to look. For the most elevated stems we do, the luxury bouquet collection is what I'd point you at.
Beautiful Flowers in a Box and Boxed Arrangements
People order flowers in a box for a different reason than wrapped stems. It's the "I thought this through" gift. Recipient doesn't have to do anything with it except enjoy it.
Most of our flowers in box designs use several flower types. Not one. Roses show up in almost every box we make, though. We keep about 25 varieties in rotation and they're kind of the anchor. Rarely alone in a box, usually in combination. In spring we'll work peonies into the mix for the few weeks they're available. Rest of the year we pull from the mix bouquets palette: hydrangea, orchids, eucalyptus, whatever's coming in strong that Monday.
Boxed flowers last. That surprises first-time buyers every time. The foam handles hydration on its own, so the arrangement holds for five to seven days typically. Longer if it stays out of direct sun. Shorter in a warm kitchen, but that's true of any cut flower.
Stylish Bouquet Boxes and Gift Options
A bouquet box is somewhere in between a wrapped bouquet and a full arrangement. The box itself is part of what you're giving. Ours come in red, white, pink, and black. Black suede with white orchids reads completely different from the same orchids in a blush pink box. Not slightly different. Completely. Worth pausing on before you pick.
Red or pink boxes for a birthday, usually. Anniversaries tend to go velvet tones with garden roses. If you're shopping for flowers for girlfriend and a dozen red roses feels too much like a cliché, the Rosé Symphony and Blush Élan pieces are the two our returning customers gravitate toward.
Greeting card comes with every flower gift box, no charge. You type the message at checkout and we write it onto the card by hand before the box leaves. For anything custom — specific color, a flower swap, a box color we don't list online — drop it in the special requirements field. Or call us at 707-893-9581 and a florist will sort it out over the phone. The phone is usually faster.
Luxury Flower Box Delivery Near You
Our luxury flower box arrangements ship daily. Same-day requires the order in by 3 PM PST. After that it rolls to the next day we're running routes. Some days we drive ourselves. Other days it's a trusted third-party courier. Depends on the route mostly.
Box flowers travel well. Better than wrapped bouquets in my experience. They don't tip over. They don't leak. They arrive looking the way they left, which is not always the case with a loose bouquet in a warm car on a Saturday in July.
Nobody home at delivery? We set the box in a shaded spot by the door and send a photo confirmation to whoever placed the order. The Bay Area is our service area. That covers San Francisco, San Jose, Fremont, Oakland, Concord, Walnut Creek, plus the surrounding cities. Full served area list lives on its own page if you want to double-check a specific address before ordering.
